PURPOSE:To enable a secretary of a certain executive member to receive an incoming call, and to transfer the call to corresponding another executive member, by transferring automatically the incoming call to plural secretaries in the prescribed order in case the due secretary is busy or absent when a call is sent to the corresponding executive member. CONSTITUTION:When an executive member A has an incoming call through an extension 1Y, an executive member/secretary table 10 stored in a main memory 6 is retrieved by the incoming call. Then a telephone number DNa of a due secretary (a) is defined as a subject of the incoming call. If the secretary (a) is busy, the propriety is decided for transfer of the call to a secretary (b) of the next order. If the secretary (b) is absent, the next secretary (c) is selected. The secretary (c) has the order closet to the secretary (a) among those absent secretaries whose telephone are kept under idle states. Therefore the incoming call given from the extension 1Y is sent to the secretary (c). In other words, the telephone number DNc of the secretary (c) is transmitted to a call channel network device 3 via a signal reception distributor 4. Thus the secretary (c) can answer the incoming call.
