PURPOSE: To provide a method and system for generating energy utilizing a BLEVE effect (Boiling Liquid Expanding Vapor Explosion). CONSTITUTION: Condensate 8 is pumped by a pump 1 from an expansion chamber 7 to be fed to a first heat exchanger 2, where a liquid gas is heated to a temperature T2 in the first step, the liquid gas is superheated in a second heat exchanger 3 with a safety valve 11 to a temperature T3, and, while expanding, is introduced into a BLEVE reaction chamber 4 through a pre- expansion valve 10 at the end part of a feed line 23. The BLEVE reaction takes place in the reaction chamber, during which gas is generated and introduced into a gas turbine 5 through a release piping 25. The gas turbine 5 drives a generator 6. The gas turbine 5 and the generator 6 are disposed in a closed expansion chamber 7 and the progress of the operation is controlled through a controller 9. This method is particularly suited for an auxiliary plant of a thermal power plant, the waste heat of which is transformed into electricity.
