PURPOSE:To prevent the collapse of a rockfall preventing construction by fixing a lower plate to the upper surface of the construction, securing a spring to a mountain side edge and a hinge to a valley side edge, and placing an upper plate upward of the lower plate through the spring so as to lower the valley side. CONSTITUTION:A lower plate 2 such as a steel plate, etc. is welded to the upper surface of a rockfall prevention construction 1, and one end of each of fixed bars 3, 3... buried into the earth is welded to the mountain side end of the lower plate 2 to fix. After that, a spring 5 is secured to a mountain side edge of the lower plate 2, a hinge 6 is secured to a valley side edge, the hinge 6 is mounted to the valley side edge in the lower surface of an upper plate 7 such as a steel plate, etc. so that it is capable of loading and unloading, and the upper plate 7 is inclined to place so as to lower the valley side. Then, rocks, earth, etc. 8 above the construction 1 are exploded by a small scaled explosion, etc., and they are dropped on the upper plate 7 little by little to drop them to the valley side from the upper plate 7. According to the constitution, rocks, etc. are removed in advance, so that the collapse of earth, etc. can be prevented to protect the construction 1 against breakdown.
