The invention relates to a device for remote monitoring of crossroad traffic lights. It comprises means of acquiring data 28 relating to the lit and extinguished durations of at least one signalling light, means 29 for comparing each of these durations to a maximum value and to a minimum value, and means for transmitting an alarm in the event that a duration thus acquired is outside the range defined by its maximum value and its minimum value.
