A display panel (8) with e.g. seven rows of notes (9) is straddled by a slider (10) in which correspondingly sized windows (11) are arranged in rows and columns. Major and minor keys w.r.t. a selected fundamental (2) are represented by optical and/or acoustic indications (using LEDs or LCD-display).
