A method of testing the durability of vehicle bodies involves measuring the torsional moments acting on the vehicle axles during normal travel over different roadway loading profiles. A representative vibration loading is derived from the moment distribution associated with each loading profile over a defined road section. The different load profiles are combined to form a loading sequence corrsep. to a road section unit and repeatedly applied to a vehicle body in a test stand. Damage is checked before and after loading. USE/ADVANTAGE - For realistic, technically based testing using effective boundary conditions.
