A multi-stage hydrocyclone plant for the preparation of cellulose suspensions, esp. from waste paper, has at least in the first two stages several parallel hydrocyclone cleaners which operate with a consistency of the suspension of 0.8 to 1.5%. The last stage includes one or more parallel rotors revolving with a screen basket and with several sifting elements. ADVANTAGE - Recycling of the GO-fraction of this last screen sorting stage eliminates the problems of poor efficiency of such multi-stage hydrocyclone plants.
