Cement for holding together chamotte brick and other ceramic material consists of two components. The first is made up of one or more filler materials, a hardening agent, one or more barrier pigments and usual additives. The second is made up of sodium waterglass with a Beaume number 59-60 and opt water. USE/ADVANTAGE - Binding together bricks in house and industrial chimneys as well as varnished or non-varnished ceramic material. The cement has stable properties up to 1000 deg C with air-tight surfaces. the surface resists corrosive attack from acid-contg condensates. The joint between cement and brick, its hardness and impact strength remains as strong as with traditional cements.
