The CO2 gas laser system has a chamber (L) built into a main housing (G) that contains gas circulation equipment. The laser resonator stages are provided in two sections (R1, R2) that have in line laser emissions (LL1, LL2). Mirrors (SP1, SP2) are positioned at each end of the housing. Gas circulation within the housing is provided by a pair of blowers (13) that are located in separate chambers (LG). Heat exchangers (20) are located at each end of the housing. The gas is circulated in opposite directions (f1, f2) across the laser resonator sections to achieve uniform conditions. ADVANTAGE - Provides compensating action for density gradients within gas flow.
