PROCESS FOR DEVELOPING A STATISTICAL MODEL TO DETERMINE THE WORKLOAD OF AN AIRCRAFT PILOT, MODEL DERIVED THEREFROM, APPARATUS FOR THE EMBODIMENT OF THE SAID PROCESS AND APPLICATIONS OF THE MODEL
ABSTRACTA process for developing a statistical model toforecast the workload of an aircraft pilot (20), inparticular that of a commercial airline pilot, as afunction of objective flight parameters, wherein,during the course of at least one flight (real orsimulated) of the aircraft, under defined flyingconditions and flight conditions and stages whichconstitute the flight parameters, the aircraft pilot isasked to provide a rating of his workload according toa predefined scale, wherein this rating is logged atthe same time as the corresponding flight parameters;and, simultaneously, the value of the significant dataof the said parameter is measured, wherein, finally, astatistical correlation is established between theworkload rating values on the one part and theaforesaid data and flight parameters on the other part.Applicable to certification and development of anaircraft and training and skills development, toperformance supervision and monitoring of an aircraftpilot's extent of adaptation to a new aircraft.See Fig. 2
