PURPOSE:To obtain an external medicine for curing dermatophytosis readily producible in a low cost and able to be preserved for a long period of time even at ordinary temperature by using highly purified ethanol, concentrated iodine tincture and salicylic acid as principal ingredients, adding a small amount of menthol and mixing. CONSTITUTION:About 68.8% highly purified ethanol about 22.9% concentrated iodine tincture and about 7.3% salicylic acid are used as principal ingredients and about 0.9% menthol is added, then mixed to afford the aimed external medicine for curing dermatophytosis. By using said medicine, sterilizing action to skin of diseased part and simultaneously suppressing action and oxidizing action against metabolic enzyme of Trichophyton are performed by ethanol and iodine tincture, then said medicine penetrates into deep tissue with drying diseased part by rejecting water in early stage, thus Trichophyton is sterilized from inside of skin of diseased part by synergistic action of salicylic acid and the skin of disease part is released off, then dermatophytosis is completely cured. Besides, antipruritic effect and refreshing feeling are given by menthol.
