PURPOSE:To achieve a measurement without causing problems of an increase in pressure loss and a friction of a sensor in actuality by making an adsorbing gas (C3H8) adsorb on a bulk solid (pulverized coal) being carried on a gas flow (nitrogen) within a pipe to measure an amount of adsorption thereof. CONSTITUTION:An amount of adsorption A1 (cc/kg) of an adsorbing gas G2 per unit weight of a bulk solid is determined at a pressure and a temperature within a gas flow conveyance pipe beforehand. A non-adsorbing gas G1 (hydrogen) is injected into a pipe through which the bulk solid is conveyed by a gas flow conveyance gas G0 at a fixed flow rate from an upstream part of the pipe and a gas flow conveyance mixed gas G0+G1 within the pipe is sampled at the downstream part of the pipe to measure a concn. B2 (cc/Nm3=ppm) in the mixed gas. Then, the gas G2 is injected at a fixed flow rate from the upstream part of the pipe and a mixed gas G0+G2 is sampled at the downstream part of the pipe to measure a concn. A2 (ppm) of the gas G2.
