CONSTITUTION:The system is constituted by providing a subsequent reception means 1, a consulting medical department retrieving means 2, a desired consulting medical department selecting means 3, an reception means 4, and an reception confirming means 5. When only a patient number is read from a medical card, etc., of a reconsulting patient thrown into a subsequent reception machine, and transmitted to a host computer, the host computer decides whether it is acceptable or not, and in the case it is acceptance, a medical department being consultable on that day is extracted from a hospital visit history on a patient information file and sent back to the subsequent reception machine. The subsequent reception machine edits sent-back data, displays it on its display device, displays only the medical department being consultable on that day on a screen, and allows a patient to select a desired medical department from them. In such a way, a selecting operation of every one medical department becomes unnecessary, and the selection time is shortened.
