According to this method, a superficial gingival micro-sample a few square millimetres in area and a few tenths of millimetres in thickness, essentially limited to the epithelial layer 4, is taken, this sample then being cultured and treated in a conventional manner in order to remove microorganisms and bacteria, and trypsinised in a conventional manner, and the cell suspension obtained being deposited on an irradiated support culture of the 3T3 type until confluent primary cultures are obtained, which cultures are again broken up by trypsinisation, inoculated and cultured until stratified confluent secondary cultures are obtained with formation of multiply stratified layers. The gingival epithelium obtained finds application in odontology/stomatology, and in particular in the production of gingival grafts. IMAGE
