Each individual winding strand for the different winding is provided by two winding layers coupled together in transverse coupling bars inserted in a machine winding slot between the upper and lower winding layers. Pref. each winding strand has several with coupling bars inserted in the same number of winding slots as the number of branches. ADVANTAGES - Reduces number of winding head connections.
