According to this process the starting alpha , omega -(dihydroxy)silicone oils are emulsified in the presence of silica powder, crosslinking agent and a tin catalyst, and the emulsion is then broken and the particles are crosslinked by heating at a temperature of 40-100 DEG C. Nonadhesive particles are thus obtained, with a mean particle size of between 50 mu m and 3 mm, coated uniformly on their surface with grains of silica. …??Application of the process of the invention to the encapsulation or to the dispersion of active principles such as medications or plant-protection products and to the preparation of flexible fillers for synthetic or natural plastics.
