ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREThe invention relates to a method and to apparatus fordepositing a primer of programmed color on an object. Theapparatus comprises means for depositing the primer on saidobject, and is characterized in that it includes first meansfor feeding a neutral primer base to said primer depositingmeans from a neutral base circuit connected to a supply ofneutral base, and second means for feeding pigmented pasteto said depositing means independently from the first means, which second means are connected to a supply of pigmentedpaste, said first means and said second means co-operating with said depositing means in such a manner as tomix said neutral base and said pigmented paste in order to formsaid primer. This makes it possible to simplify primerdepositing technology while reducing the manufacturing costs ofsuch a primer.
