PURPOSE:The titled composition which cures at room temperature within a short time in a minute gap between metals and shows a bonding and sealing effect, comprising a polymerizable methacrylate ester, a salt of o-benzoic sulfide with a specified amine, a hydroperoxide and water. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. polymerizable methacrylate ester comprising a mixture of 10-100wt% compound of formula I (wherein R3 is a 2-4C alkylene and n is 3-5) and 90-0wt% compound of formula II (wherein R4 and R5 are each R3, land m are each 1 or 2 and l+m=3), or a mixture of 10-70wt% compound of formula III (wherein R6 is R3 and p is 1-8) and 90-30wt% compound of formula II, 0.5-50pts.wt. equimolar salt of o-benzoic sulfide with an amine of formula IV (wherein R1 and R2 are each H or methyl), 0.05-10pts.wt. hydroperoxide, and 0.5-50pts.wt. water are mixed together.
