PURPOSE:A thermosetting resin molding material capable of forming a molding having a low specific gravity and excellent properties, containing a thermosetting resin and an aluminosilicate substance in the shape of fine hollow spheres. CONSTITUTION:A molding material containing a thermosetting resin with an aluminosilicate substance in the shape of fine hollow spheres (diameter 5-300mu). Examples of the thermosetting resins used include unsaturated polyester, diallyl terephthalate, epoxy, and polyimide. Examples of catalysts for curing these resins include organic peroxides such as benzoyl peroxide, and dicumyl peroxide. Because of its high strength, the above fine hollow aluminosilicate substance is not broken under the conditions of elevated pressure and temperature for molding an unsaturated polyester resin, etc., so that it is possible to obtain a product of a low specific gravity.
