PURPOSE:To make it possible to obtain smooth acceleration, by connecting a storage chamber for temporarily storing therein acceleration fuel, to an acceleration fuel discharge passage so that the timing of fuel discharge by an accelerating pump may be easily set in a suitable condition. CONSTITUTION:Upon acceleration of an engine, a piston rod 22 and a pump piston 23 in an accelerating pump 19 are depressed onto a throttle valve shaft by means of pump lever which is not shown, and therefore, fuel in a pump chamber 25 is fed under pressure to a jet nozzle 28 through a discharge passage 26 so that fuel is discharged into intake air passages 12. In this device, a storage chamber 30 is connected to the intermediate part of the jet nozzle 28. Then, within a pump operating time unitl the pump poston 23 reaches its lowermost end, only a part of gasoline fed under pressure to the jet nozzle 28 is jetted through right and left openings 29, and the remaining part is temporarily stored in the storage chamber 30, thereby fuel is gradually discharged from the storage chamber 30 after the piston reaches the lowermost.
