PURPOSE:To protect external surfaces of a bottle from a physical shock, by closely binding a protective cover, consisting of synthetic resin, securely to around the bottom part of an outer jar of the metallic thermos bottle through a foaming urethane layer. CONSTITUTION:A protrusive stripe or screw-like binding mechanism 5, provided internally circumferentially of the opening part of a synthetic resin made bottommed protective cover 4, is forcibly fitted or screwed to a rugged stripe groove or screw stripe grooved binding mechanism 6, provided along the periphery of a barrel part in the vicinity of the bottom part of an outer jar 2, and the protective cover 4 is fitted or screwed and fixed to the outer jar 2 in its desired bottom place. Further foaming urethane 7 is filled in air space between the outer jar 2 and the protective cover 4 to closely and firmly bind the protective cover 4 can be inhibited by providing protrusions 8a, 8b on an internal bottom surface of the protective cover 4.
