PURPOSE:To move and deliver a winding roll easily from a winding position to a receiving position by driving a space adjusting block made rotatable after its fixation is set free from a moving block, and tilting a core supporter. CONSTITUTION:Each core 2 is set to a pair of core support arms 14, and a moving block 10 is advanced forward till the core 2 comes into contact with a touch roller 3. In the course of winding, in order to control contact pressure between a winding roll R and the touch roller 3, the moving block 10 is driven backward as giving the required pressing force to each winding roll R by individual touch rollers 3, whereby the core 2 is separated from the touch roller 3 according to increment of the winding roll R. When an amount of specified split webs CW is wound on the core 2, winding is stopped. Then, a pressing member drive 18 is operated and, after the lockup of a space adjusting block 13 is released, a driving device 23 is driven as well, then the core support arm 14 is tilled to some extent, thus the winding roll R is released after delivering it onto a cradle 24 in the rear.
