Pieces of meat e.g. hams are made by dividing the necessary preparatory work into operations of equal length, continuously moving the meat past operators equally spaced along a work area so that they can carry out the operations in succession, and spacing the pieces of meat by the distance sepg. the operators or a fraction of it. An installation for carrying out the process is also claimed. ADVANTAGE - Each operator's task is simple and requires little skill.
