PURPOSE:To improve working efficiency by continuing the collecting of measuring data with a personal computer and executing a data checking dispersively when a trouble occurs, and transferring the measuring data to a host computer collectively when a measuring data collecting system is restored. CONSTITUTION:When the trouble occurs in the measuring data collecting system, a terminal 30 is switched from an on-line mode to a local mode by a mode switching means 31 in the terminal 30 in a personal computer (PC) 3, and the collecting of the measuring data from a measuring apparatus is continued only by the PC 3. When the trouble is repaired, the terminal 30 is switched from the local mode to the on-line mode by the mode switching means 31, and by a measuring data transferring means 33, on-line measuring data in stored measuring data are collectively transferred to a host computer (HC) 1 through a line 2. When the HC detects a switching flag in the process of the transfer, standard data are transmitted from a disk device 12 to the terminal 30 through the line 2, the data checking is executed, and only normal data are transferred to the HC 1.
