PURPOSE: To use a backpack amphibiously by closing the top of the main body with a cover and by providing hanger straps for holding on the user's shoulders and an opening for discharging the inundated water. CONSTITUTION: This backpack consists of a main body 2 whose top is closed with a cover 3, a front pocket 4 and signaling means 28, 29 provided for use as a buoy. The main body 2 is sectioned into a front chamber 6, a central chamber 7 and a back chamber 8 connected with the back surface 30. All the personal belongings are put into an air-tight sack 10 that is closed with a string 11. The foaming material 14 of an appropriate thickness is put into an air-tight sack 13 is the back chamber 8, which is used as a matters at camping. The front pocket 4, the front 6 and central 7 chambers are provided each with an opening 19 making it possible to discharge the water inundated into this backpack 1, corresponding to the bottom section. The straps 5 have a set of straps 5A, 5B, 5C and 5D, relating to each other for forming two hangers to be selected at use.
