PURPOSE:To eliminate a need for a special circuit dedicated to FM broadcasting signal provided and to lower the price by detecting an FM broadcasting signal by means of a frequency discriminator for automatic fine tuning signal forming. CONSTITUTION:An output from an automatic fine tuning AFT circuit 18 is supplied to an AFT drive circuit 9 via a first integration circuit of comparatively large time constant. And the local oscillation frequency of a tuner 1 is controlled so that an intermediate frequency signal which is an output from the tuner comes 58.75MHz. Accordingly, an FM broadcasting signal which is an intermediate frequency signal behaves as a pseuido video intermediate frequency signal. This intermediate frequency signal is supplied to the AFT circuit 18 through a carrier extraction circuit 16. Since the circuit 16 acts as a limitor amplifier also, the intermediate frequency in an FM broadcasting signal can be arranged in a fixed amplitude. As a result, even if the processing circuit dedicated to FM broadcasting signal is not provided in the receiver, an FM broadcasting signal can be processed.
