Device allowing the non-invasive measurement of the flow rate of a dielectric fluid carrying electric charges created within turbulences in the fluid by the triboelectric effect. The device consists of two antennae surrounding the fluid flow pipe and separated by a certain distance parallel to the direction of flow, each connected to an electronic charge amplification device, allowing the detection of signals representing turbulences within the fluid, level with each antenna: the two signals are introduced into an electronic device which calculates their cross-correlation factor and deduces therefrom the time taken by the fluid to cover the distance separating the two antennae. The inverse of this time gives a direct measurement of the flow rate of the fluid. IMAGE
