The invention relates to a method for producing a collector for a DC machine and a collector obtained by this method. The method is characterised in that it comprises the following operations: - a first component 1 made from ceramic such as alumina, being a body of revolution and having a conical external surface at least partially metallised, and a second component 2 made from copper, being a body of revolution and having a conical internal surface of the same conicity as the external surface of the first component 1, are fitted into each other with installation of a metal brazing element 3; - this assembly is placed so that the common axis of the two components is vertical, with the virtual point of the cone of the ceramic component upwards, in an oven, - the oven is raised to a temperature in order to melt the brazing foil, - after cooling, the copper component is machined so as to obtain collector blades in radial planes. Application especially to machines operating at high temperatures. IMAGE
