In summary, it can be said that, according to the process of the invention, a landfill is produced using mineralised refuse, that is to say the building material for the landfill itself consists of refuse slag, as a result of which materials which are normally to be used are saved and this proportion of the refuse does not have to be dumped. It comprises individual caverns, foundation slabs, vertical walls and covering slabs being over-dimensioned, but being provided with doubled expansion joints. Through horizontal pipe systems in the foundation or base slabs, monitoring can be carried out at any time, and defects can be located and easy repair can thus be effected, which, if one accurately observes the technical teaching of the invention, is hardly ever necessary. If necessary at all, then it is sufficient to carry out monitoring every few years.
