ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREA reconfigurable toy has two major body parts connectedtogether by an altering mechanism which facilitates the changingof the toy from one major state (such as a dinosaur state) toanother major state (such as a humanoid robot state). Themechanism consists of at least a first, a second and a thirdmember journaled to each other through respective hinges,said first member having a first hinge and a second hinge andbeing journaled to a major part of the toy body at the firsthinge, said second member being journaled to the first memberthrough the second hinge, said third member being journaled tothe second member through a third hinge in such a manner thatthe second member is provided outside the first member and thethird member is provided outside the second member and thesecond member is able to cover the first member. The threeparts may be moved individually or together to give respectiveconfiguration changes. Since one member is able to coveranother member this readily gives a substantial change inconfiguration and appearance to the toy.
