PURPOSE:In a driving method of construction, to prolong friction reducing effect, to apply this method to various kinds of the ground, and to reduce the frictional force between soil and a driving pipe, by injecting a highly water-absorbing high polymer which becomes a spherical elastic material after water absorption into a space between piled soil and the driving pipe, and blending it with the soil. CONSTITUTION:In a driving method of construction, the frictional force between soil and a driving pipe is reduced by injecting a spherical elastic material having absorbed water of a highly water-absorbing high polymer which becomes a spherical elastic material after water absorption to a space between piled soil and the driving pipe and blending it with the soil. The highly water-absorbing high polymer consists essentially of ethylene (X), vinyl ester (Y), and ethylenic unsaturated carboxylic acid or its derivative (Z), and is preferably a saponified copolymer of these components in a molar ratio in the range shown by the formulas or a crosslinked polymer of acrylic acid and/or acrylate. EFFECT:Improved friction reducing effect is shown by utilizing the characteristics (improved bearing action, water retention, etc.) of the spherical elastic material as a solid substance.
