PURPOSE:To perform adjusting operations such as positioning simply and quickly, by the constitution wherein the base part of a spring material, which supports a cell holding table at the tip, is fixed to a slant part of a spring receiving table, which is attached to an upright supporting stand on a table so that it can be adjusted for up and down movement and rotation. CONSTITUTION:At first a screw 17 is untightened so that the spring receiving table 16 can be moved up and down. An object to be measured 2 is inserted in the lower part of the spring receiving table 16, and the height of the object 2 is measured. Then the screw 17 is tightened, and the spring receiving table 16 is fixed at the position. Thereafter, the cell holding table 15 is lifted up, and the object to be measured 2 is positioned directly beneath a gasket 3. The cell holding table 15 is lowered again, and the gasket 3 is placed on the object to be measured 2. Then the gasket 3 is contacted with the plated surface of the object to be measured 2 at a right angle under the constant pressure via the spring material 18. Even though there is inclination in the object to be measured 2, a seat having a slant part with the same angle as that of said inclination is inserted beneath the object. Thus the upper surface is kept horizontal. Therefore, the adjusting operation can be performed simply and quickly.
