ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREThe specification describes a cable winding systemfor electrically powered vehicles or working machines operatedin cramped underground conditions and receiving its drivingpower through a flexible cable. The excess length of the cabledepending on a given position of the vehicle is collected withinan assembly mounted on the vehicle. A cable is wound on acollector which rotates about a vertical axle, disposed on thecenter line of the vehicle. The final exit point for the cablerelative to the vehicle is determined by a guide means which ismounted on the end of an extension arm swivelling concentricallywith the axle of the collector. A moment effecting the windingand tightening of the cable acts between the extension arm andthe collector.
