The invention relates to a method for manufacturing plaster components whose useful visible surface has the draped appearance of a fabric or makes it possible to solidify the dynamic effect of the swelling of the film by the pouring of the plaster. The method is based on the use of a plastic film 4 forming 9 a pocket inside a wooden support frame cut according to the external outlines (silhouette) of the component to be manufactured. The draped effect is given by crumpling the plastic film by stapling 5. The plaster fully fills the "pocket" of the film for small components; for larger sizes, it is spread in a fine layer by means of a fine plastic mesh laid in the bottom of the pocket and then reinforced with harl. The method may be applied for direct in-situ casting of false ceilings and suspended coffers, the conditions for working conventional staff being complied with : solidity of the existing structure, clearance above the false ceiling to be mounted. The method forming the subject of the invention offers new decorative possibilities for internal surfaces in the building industry, chimney claddings, formwork pillars, cornice designs, decorative elements and designs to be adhesively bonded.
