ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREAn antihypertensive and antianginal combinationcomprising (A) 0.1 to 10 parts by weight of an asymmetricaldihydropyridine of the formulain whichR1 and R5 each independently is methyl,hydroxymethyl or cyano,R2 and R4 are always different from one anotherand each independently is alkyl with 1 to 10carbon atoms optionally substituted by alkoxywith 1 to 4 carbon atoms, fluorine, chlorineor N-methyl-benzylamino,R3 is nitro, chlorine, trifluoromethyl, or=N-O-N=, andn is 1 or 2,and (B) about 10 to 200 parts by weight of a .beta.-blockerwithout a local anesthetic action.
