A description is given of a means for filling in bone and tooth defects, for bone constructions, for bone contact layers and for bone and tooth root replacement which contains carbonate apatite, if necessary with body-compatible additives and/or thinners. Furthermore a description is given of the use of carbonate apatite for the filling in of bone and tooth defects, bone construction, bone contact layers, as a bone and tooth root replacement and an implant body which consists entirely or partly of carbonate apatite or of a material known for implant bodies and is entirely or partly coated with a layer of carbonate apatite.
