A centralised refilling device having a valve with surface tension, consisting of an electrical detection apparatus for the correct level of the electrolytes or the lack of level of the same. This detection apparatus consists of a probe which is fitted on one of the centre closures of the intrinsic levelling apparatus and is electrically derived from a circuit which is connected to the outermost end of the battery so that a circuit runs through the probe, irrespective of what the voltage of the battery is or what the element is on which the closure is fitted, which circuit is insufficient for any explosion risk but is sufficient to switch on a signal for indicating the correct or incorrect level.
