The sheet of metal is gripped between two movable arms, secured to a table. The forming block of the press is fixed to the table below the blade of the press. Each arm consists of a U-section pivot block, an intermediate plate and a slide. Attached to the inside of each slide is a movable base and jaws. There are three main linear movements: one which moves the pivot blocks w.r.t the table, parallel to the long axis of the forming block; one which moves the slide up or down w.r.t the intermediate block and one which moves the slide in or out w.r.t the intermediate plate. - There are two main rotary movements; one which rotates the intermediate plate in the pivot block and one which rotates the jaws w.r.t the slide. Two fine adjustment movements are also available; one which moves the jaw base w.r.t the slide and one which rotates the jaws w.r.t the jaw base. (41pp Dwg.No.0/14)
