Drying bag for petrol engine ignition system - has granules surrounding coil absorbing moisture when vehicle is parked, dried by engine heat after starting
The bag, made of closely woven cloth and rectangular in shape, is stitched at ends, sides and centre so that, when filled with absorbent granules, it forms two parallel cylinders. A length of folded elastic, sewn on to a flap at one end, carries at its extremity one part of a clothing-type fastener, the other part being fixed to the bag itself. - The assembly is fixed to the coil by passing the elastic round it, and mating the fastener. It then absorbs any moisture deposited while the engine is cold, and gives it up during normal running. Oven drying may be used in adverse conditions.
