PURPOSE:To deal with various control specifications that users require in a process driving type controller whose instruction system is easily understood, by executing part of a program similarly with scanning type processing upon occasion. CONSTITUTION:CPU2 is composed of a software-incorporated microcomputer; and input circuit 3 serves as the interface between input terminal IN and CPU2, and output circuit 4 is connected to output terminal OUT according to an output signal from CPU2. In response to a specific scanning start instruction set as a user instruction, another user instruction set following it turns on or off the output of an output terminal number, set to ''1'' by the output control instruction according to the establishment of a condition shown by the process update instruction, and is executed in scanning processing which updates processes immediately. Consequently, the range of utilization and the versatility are improved while the system deals with various control specifications that users require.
