PURPOSE:To efficiently remove a fluorine ion, by adding slaked lime to waste water solution to perform reaction and, after solid-liquid separation, adding magnesium oxide to the separated solution to perform reaction before solid- liquid separation. CONSTITUTION:Waste water containing salts and fluorine is introduced into an aeration tank 2 from a desulfurization waste water introducing pipe 1 and a predetermined amount of Ca(OH)2 is supplied from a Ca(OH)2 dissolving tank 5 while air is introduced into the aeration tank 2 from the bottom part thereof by a blower 3. The solution discharged from the aeration tank 2 is introduced into a reaction tank 7 while sludge is separated by a filter 6 to be reacted with MgO and the solution after reaction is introduced into a flocculation tank 8 where treated with the polymer flocculant injected from a polymer flocculant introducing pipe 10 while the treated solution is introduced into a sedimentation tank 11 to sediment and separate MgO-containing sludge. The slurry, from which the sludge was removed, is withdrawn to a slurry receiving tank 14 from the bottom of the sedimentation tank 11.
