The crusher has a rotor (5) with retractable hammers (5a) which rotate and move transversely in a casing (2), open at the bottom. There is also a layshaft (7) to couple to a tractor power take off. There are two drive pulleys, one on the layshaft and the other on the rotor shaft. These are housed inside the casing. A collector plate (15) is placed at an angle to the direction of crusher movement and ahead of the pulley housing. The pulleys are of different diameters with self locking movable hubs.
