The engine fly wheel is in constant mesh with the counter shaft of the first gear group and a main gear drive coupled to the output in turn driving an output group coupled to a bevel drive, the differential and a further reduction gear to the road wheel half shafts. The main gear counter shaft is turned by the first part of a friction clutch and the secondary part is turned by the first gear group, a hollow shaft turning free on the second gear groups counter shaft. A double gear change sleeve pre-selects a power transfer between the forwards and reverse. The power shaft can also be placed in direct drive with the main gear drive by a clutch.
