The stabilising circuit, for the centre frequency and modulation slope of a phase locked VCO in PSK systems, has discriminator determining the phase difference between the VCO's output and that of a reference frequency and producing a frequency correction signal. This same signal is reversed in polarity by the phase keying signal and used to control the modulation slope. The modulation slope is stabilised by regulating the level of the signal controlling the VCO's frequency using a variable-gain amplifier.
