摘要

PURPOSE:To improve the resistance of an austenitic stainless steel contg. B to intergranular corrosion and intergranular corrosion cracking by heat treating the steel under specified conditions. CONSTITUTION:An austenitic stainless steel contg. 0.5-4.0% B, 0.1% C, 2% Si, 4% Mn, 16-25% Cr and 8-15% Ni is worked into a plate by hot rolling and cold rolling. The plate is subjected to soln. heat treatment, and it is cooled. The plate is then heated at 700-800 deg.C for =5hr to obtain an austenitic stainless steel having superior resistance to intergranular corrosion and intergranular corrosion cracking.
