The clutch control includes a disc (14) fixed to rotate on one drum and movable axially relative to both drums. Teeth (18) on the periphery of a coaxial disc (17) can be placed in mesh with teeth (19) on the other drum by the control ring. A finger (22) is fixed to the second drum and thus axial drum displacement gives positive coupling and uncoupling. After drum movement to position the finger it meets a stop at the end of its housing to ensures proper tooth meshing. Normally, the finger is mounted on the idler drum.
