Inter-modulation corrector for HF single side band amplifier - has pre-corrector for odd order cross-modulations, whose amplitude is measured for analysis by microprocessor, and test signal generator
An intermodulation measuring circuit (13) is connected to the output of an HF amplifier (2). The measuring circuit output passes through an A/D converter (16) to a microprocessor (14) to which a logic interface (15) is connected. This allows communication with an operator and also enables the highest intermodulation order to be selected. This interface also allows a test signal to be applied via a gating circuit (19) to the input of a modulator (1). D/A converters (17) provide gain adjustment signals from the microprocessor to a pre corrector (4) upstream of the amplifier. The correction is initiated by an operator command and the correction signal is applied until the measuring circuit indicates that the intermodulation has reduced to below a threshold level.
