- 1 -Abstract:The present invention relates to an apparatus forsupplying steam to a gland seal of a turbine. Theapparatus is comprised of gland seal portions which seal afluid inside the turbine from the exterior, a steamgenerator or steam header which supplies the steam to thegland seal portions as a sealing fluid, a pipe portionwhich couples the steam generator or steam header and thegland seal portion and a gland seal steam pressureadjuster which is interposed in the pipe portion and whichadjusts a pressure of the sealing fluid to be supplied tothe gland seal portions. A vortex tube is provided whichis arranged in the pipe portion, and a flow rate adjustingdevice which adjusts the flow rate of the steam beingdischarged from the vortex tube.
