The land yacht has a platform (1) for a swivelling sail (14). It also has four wheels (2,3,4) arranged in a lozenge formation. The wheels can be replaced by skis or shoes. The side wheels (3) are supportive and rotate parallel to the longitudinal axis. The end wheels (2,4) pivot on vertical axes and can have return springs (8) to return them to rotate in the longitudinal axes. The centre wheels (3) act as a centre board and steering is by sail movement displacing the centre of wind pressure relative to the ground contacting wheel (3).
