The therapeutic appts. for the stimulation of tissue includes an oscillator producing high frequency waves - for example 27 MHz. These are fed through a modulator which also receives control pulses at 200-3000 Hz. The control pulses are regulated by a synchronous scanning generator tuned to the biological rhythms picked up by sensors. For reasons of safety a gate is connected between the generator and the modulator to cut off the signal in case of any abnormal operation. The modulator output comprising a pulsed HF is fed to an aerial which is placed in contact with the tissue to be treated. The circuit is powered by a low voltage battery maintained by a charger. Visible and audible indicators may be included to enable the operator to see the type of signal being applied to the patient.
